How to Remove Urine Stains from Tile grout



Urine Stains are often as a result of pet peeing on your precious tiles. Be it dog or cat both can urine sometimes on tiles even if they are trained. Sometimes they get lazy and they do not feel like to follow the training. You cannot simply help out to stop them, what you can do is clean the stain. You can adopt any one of the following methods to remove Urine Stains from Tile Grout.


Method 1

Things you will be required:

·      Enzyme cleaner.
·      Whitening toothpaste.
·      Clorox.
·      Paper towels.
·      Water.


Steps:

1.   Your first step should be that you clean the tiles and Grout properly by wiping with wet paper towels to remove any dust particles and other small stuff.

2.   With the help of enzyme cleaner, get rid of the bacteria or any smell that may be coming from it, you can pour little on tile grout.

3.   Apply Clorox on Tile Grout and allow it to sit in for fifteen whole minutes after which you can wipe it with wet paper towels and dry it with dry paper towels again.

4.   If somewhat Urine Stain still appears you can apply Whitening tooth paste for just ten minutes to get rid of the urine stain.


Method 2

Things you will be required:

·      AJAX power cleanser.
·      Grout scrubbing brush.
·      Water.
·      White piece of cloth.


Steps:

1.   Wipe the area to be cleaned with a white piece of cloth to remove any dust particles.

2.   Apply AJAX power cleanser on the desired Grout area and wait for ten to fifteen minutes so that the solution can soak and set in well.

3.   Scrub the solution with the help of grout scrubbing brush for five to ten minutes but making sure you cover the entire area.

4.   Wipe the area off with wet white piece of cloth.

5.   The stain will eventually be removed.
               
Method 3

Things you will be required:

·      Peroxide (Pet accident wash up).
·      Detergent.
·      Baking soda.
·      Water.
·      Piece of cloth.
·      Tooth brush.
·      Sponge.

Steps:

1.   First spray pet accident wash up on the stained area. Keep it applied on so that it can soak in well for fifteen to twenty whole minutes.

2.   Wipe the solution with a piece of cloth. First wipe it with a wet piece of cloth, and then dry it with dry cloth.

3.   Make a paste of baking Soda. Add baking soda into water and mix it well so that lumps are not created. Apply it on the stained area. Scrub it with the help of an old tooth brush, you can rub it with a sponge as well and then clean it off with the help of a detergent and water.

Tips and Warnings:

1.   Wear rubber gloves when cleaning tiles or urine stains as bacteria can affect your skin. Also when dealing with detergents or solutions it is not good for the skin so it is better that you cover your skin.

2.   Make sure you remove surrounding furniture away so that the stain does not spread or other things do not get damage in the process of cleaning.

The problem with using Baking soda or toothpaste is that they are very hard to rinse off and they leave white marks on the tile if not rinsed off repeatedly.
