How to Remove Hard Water Stains From Tiles



Cleaning stains is very important for a number of reasons. Firstly, no one wants a place to look messy and dirty. So removing stains is very important for this regard. Secondly, stain mean there will be for sure bacteria present in it. Bacteria and germs are really dangerous for our health as well as for the health of kids. There are many ways to remove stains but this articles will give you hassle free methods. You will not have to buy expensive materials; instead materials will be present at your home or cheaply available from nearby store. You do not have to get your tiles repaired when you yourself can clean it. The key to removing any stain is to remove it as soon as possible. You can adopt anyone of the following methods for the removal of Hard water Stains from Tiles.


Method 1

Things you will be required:

·      CEF cream.
·      Scotch Brite.
·      Water.
·      Paper towels.

Steps:

1.   Wipe the tiles first with wet paper towels to remove any dirt from the tiles.

2.   Apply CEF cream on the stained area and keep it applied on for fifteen to twenty minutes.

3.   Scrub the tiles with the help of green scotch Brite.

4.   Then wipe it with wet paper towels and then wipe it dry with dry paper towels.


Method 2

Things you will be required:

·      White vinegar.
·      Lemon juice.
·      Spraying bottle.
·      Rag or sponge.
·      Dry cloth.
·      Soapy water.
·      Trisodium Phosphates.
·      Water.

Steps:

1.   Either pour white vinegar or pour lemon juice in a spraying bottle. Mix it well and then spray it on the tiles that have hard water stains on it. Keep it applied on for fifteen to thirty minutes whole.

2.   When thirty minutes have passed then you may scrub the tiles with a sponge or a rag, does it very gently so that you do not cause a scratch. You can pour more of vinegar or lemon juice if more scrubbing is needed.

3.   Rinse your tiles with rag and soapy water. You may dry it with a dry piece of cloth.

4.   Make another mixture of trisodium phosphates. Add two or four table spoon of trisodium phosphates depending on the stain in one gallon of water. Keep the water warm and mix the solution well. Soak a rag in the mixture and wipe it on the tiles. Keep scrubbing with a sponge until the stain has been removed

5.   Then rinse it with water and by using a rag.

6.   You may apply more of lemon juice or vinegar and add bit of trisodium mixture and repeat the process if the stain persists.

7.   After doing this all, the Hard Water stains will eventually be removed.
                                                                                                           

Method 3

Things you will be required:

·      MR clean magic eraser.
·      CLR.
·      Soap.
·      Water.
·      Rag.
·      Paper towels.

Steps:

1.   First erase the more obvious stains with MR clean magic eraser. Most of the stains will be removed by this time.

2.   If still some stains appear, in that case you should apply little bit of CLR, keep it applied on for ten minutes. After that you can scrub it with a rag. Keep scrubbing until the area shines.

3.   Rinse the area with soap and water. When rinsing does not rub the tiles, gently wash it.

4.   Wipe the tiles with the help of paper towels.

5.   Finally the tiles will be free of Hard Water Stains.

Tips and Warnings:

1.   If you have ceramic tiles are sure not to use soap scum as it can make it look really bad.

2.   Wear rubber gloves when cleaning tiles.

3.   When using trisodium phosphates do wear protective eye wear.
