How to remove tobacco stains from skin

Smoking is injurious to health. This is a cliché with which we are all familiar. Yet did you know that smoking not only wreaks havoc on our respiratory system, but it also wrecks our skin? This is because tobacco contains nicotine which can absorb into our skin along with moisture and consequently stain it.

You obviously wouldn’t want yellowish skin inclining towards brown? Tobacco- stained skin makes you an anomaly within society and people may shy away from you. This humiliation is something which each of us, smokers or ex-smokers wants to avoid.

Owing to these very reasons, we have combined some simple home remedies which will enable you to get out these annoying tobacco stains from your skin, and end up with a healthy, glowing skin.

Method One (Using lemon juice and pumice stone)

Lemon is a natural cleanser and is known across the globe for being an astringent. Because of its disinfecting properties, we would be deploying lemon juice to remove all sorts of tobacco stains from skin.

Things that you will require:

· Bowl
· Lemon juice
· Pumice stone

Steps that you need to take:

1.   Since, our protagonist in this method is lemon juice, so primarily you have to take a bowl and pour some lemon juice in it.

2.   Soak the part of your skin which has been stained with tobacco in this lemon juice for some time, approximately 5 minutes. This will agitate the stain particles, prompting them to come out.

3.   After five minutes, take it out of the lemon juice and start scrubbing it lightly. Make use of a pumice stone for this scrubbing.

4.   Continue repeating this process of alternately soaking and scrubbing, until you get rid of these aggravating tobacco stains from your skin.

Do not scrub vigorously with pumice stone. Keep it gentle, as excessive scrubbing can irritate and damage your skin.
