How to Remove Ink Stains from Dryer



Your kid had a pen in his shirt which you left in the dryer. After taking out the clothes you notice that the ink stains are all over in the dryer. You cannot use the dryer again as the stain can get into other clothes as well. There are many methods of removing Ink stains from dryer which in this article we will highlight and you can adopt any one of them.

Method 1

Things you will be required:

·      Bleach.
·      Water.
·      White towels.
·      Rubber gloves.
·      Old white piece of cloth.


Steps:

1.   Mix bleach into water and stir it well. Make sure no lumps are created and water is room temperature water.

2.   Dip small white towels in the solution.

3.   Wear rubber gloves and take most of the water out of those towels.

4.   Insert the towels in the dryer and turn the dryer on.

5.   After one to two turns the bleach will take most of the ink out of the dryer.

6.   After the ink has been removed, wipe your dryer with plain water so that all of the bleach is cleaned away from the dryer.

7.   Make sure that your dryer dries out by leaving the door open.



Method 2

Things you will be required:

·      Clean cloth.
·      Nail polish remover.
·      WD-40.

Steps:

1.   Run the dryer on the highest heat as possible, the extreme level of heat will melt the ink for you. Once the ink has melted you can wipe it with a piece of cloth which you can dispose of later.

2.   However, if still some ink stain appears what you can do is that, you should apply some nail polish remover on the stain area while the dryer is still warm.

3.   If little ink comes out you can wipe it with cloth, however, for tougher ink stains apply some elbow grease on the ink and then wait for ten to fifteen minutes. Wipe it then with white cloth, ink stain will be completely removed.

4.   For older ink stains and permanent ink you can spray WD-40 on the ink stain area and wait for twenty to thirty minutes. Wipe it then with a piece of cloth and the stain will be removed.

5.   Just to test the dryer you can place some old clothes in the dryer to check if ink stains come on clothes or not.

Tips and Warnings:

1.   In method one you can also insert two to three wet pieces of white cloth to test that the ink doesn't get attach to your cloth.

2.   Wear Rubber gloves or any sort of protecting argument against heat should be worn for safety purposes.

3.   When cleaning dryers male sure kids are not around as electricity and water is quite a dangerous combination for kids to be in.
