How to remove Coffee Stains from Leather

Have you ever gone through that hectic day when you had piles of work before you on the table? In such furor of work coffee was your sole reliance which helped you to relax and bring yourself together so that you could concentrate on your work. However, just one accidental blow of your hand and your coffee cup went tumbling down your leather sofa.

Naturally, you wouldn’t want your precious leather sofa to be marred by coffee stains and this is where we come in. Our effective stain removal remedies ensure that these coffee stains are removed from scratch and that you don’t have to compromise your leather sofa over them. So embark upon the following stain removal strategy and bid farewell to these aggravating coffee stains.

Things that you will require:

·      Clean, soft cloth
·      Mild soap
·      Lukewarm water
·      Sponge
·      Clean, dry cloth
·      Corn meal

Steps that you need to take:

1.  Time is of essence; therefore embark upon this stain removal method as quickly as you can. First of all, you need to take hold of a clean, soft cloth and blot up any excess moisture from the coffee stain.

2.  Next, make a cleaning solution by mixing a mild soap in lukewarm water. Combine the two ingredients in such a manner that a lot of suds are formed.

3.  Now, take this foam onto a sponge and dab the coffee stain with this sponge. Make sure that you do not take along any water in the sponge.

4.  Continue dabbing the stain patiently with the foamy sponge until the stain disappears.

5.  Eventually, wipe the coffee stained area with a clean, dry cloth or absorbent towel.

6.  If after wiping the stain finally with a dry cloth, you still feel that some oily residue is left behind, then take some corn meal and sprinkle it onto the stained area. Corn meal would effectively absorb all the oil from the suede or leather. Ultimately, after some time brush away the corn meal with your fingers.

Tip:

As a last resort, you can make use of Tannery Vintage Leather Cleaner & Conditioner or Fiebings Saddle Soap to condition the leather and restore it to its original lustrous state.
