·  Half teas spoon of liquid laundry detergent
·  water
· One tea spoon of distilled white vinegar

· A clean buffing cloth
· One tea spoon of wood polish

Steps that you need to take:

1.   First of all take some absorbent paper towels and moisten them with water and half tea spoon of liquid detergent.

2.   Use these paper towels to wipe off the coffee stains off the wooden surface. This is particularly useful for fresh stains as often this step alone suffices for coffee stain removal.

3.   Wipe carefully making sure that no coffee traces are left behind. Finally, blot with fresh paper towels to ensure this.

4.   Next, you have to treat the stain which would probably have been left behind. In order to remove these coffee stains, we will have to make use of a stronger cleaning agent, which in this case happens to be white distilled vinegar.

5.   Pour 1 tea spoon of white vinegar onto the stain. Allow it to sit in the stain for a minute, so that it can carry out its cleansing action.

8.      Pour 1 tea spoon of wood polish onto a clean buffing cloth and then rub this cloth in a circular motion onto the wooden surface. Give time to this polish so that it can dry off completely.

Tip:

Mayonnaise, petroleum jelly or an oily furniture polish can also yield satisfactory results when it comes to the removal of coffee stains from wood. These substances replace the water mark with oil and then you can rub with a clean buffing cloth to restore the wood to its natural shine.
