Things that you will require:

·      Ammonia
·      Bowl
·      Water
·      Measuring cup
·      Eyedropper
·      Absorbent cotton pads
·      Ceramic plate (Or any other heavy object)

Steps that you will need to take:


1.    Pour 1 cup ammonia in a bowl, and add 1 cup water to it. Mix the two ingredients completely.

2.   Now, pour this solution in an eyedropper and drop a small amount on to the stained area.

3.   Using an absorbent cotton pad, start dabbing the stained area such that the stain transfers on to the cotton pad.

4.   Once you have gotten rid of the entire stain, rinse the affected area well with plain water.

5.   Place the garment on a hard surface; place an absorbent pad on the stained area and weight it down with a ceramic plate.

6.   Leave it in place till the pad absorbs no more.

7.   Let the clothing dry.


How to Remove Hair Dye Stains from Skin

Did you know toothpaste can come in handy for something as simple as cleaning hair dye stains from your skin? Just simply follow the instructions below.

Things that you will require:

·      Toothpaste
·      Old toothbrush
·      Water
·      Lotion

Steps that you will need to take:

1.   To start off, apply a small amount of toothpaste on an old toothbrush. Do not use the one that you use for your mouth!

2.   Scrub your neck, hands or wherever the hair dye has stained your skin.

3.   Your toothbrush will start getting darker as the stain starts to get removed. Continue to do so till the entire stain has been removed.

4.   Rinse your hands well.

5.   Moisturize your skin with your regular lotion if necessary.

·      Cotton balls
·      Nail polish remover
·      Old toothbrush/q-tip
·      Water

1.   To get rid of the hair dye stain from the sink, grab a cotton ball and pour a small amount of nail polish remover on to it. Make sure that the nail polish remover contains a high amount of acetone.

2.   Next, scrub the stained area with the cotton ball. Change the cotton ball when it becomes completely saturated.

3.   Repeat step 2 till the entire hair dye stain has been cleaned from the sink. For corners, you may use an old toothbrush or a q-tip.

4.   Rinse the sink with plain water well once the stain has disappeared.

How to Remove Hair Dye Stains from Carpet

It is always preferable that you dye your hair in the bathroom. However, if you decided to do so in front of the mirror in your room, and accidentally spilled some on your carpet, do not worry. The guidelines below will help you get rid of the hair dye stains from the carpet.

·      Bowl
·      Water
·      Liquid dishwashing detergent
·      White vinegar
·      Clean white cloths
·      Tablespoon
·      Measuring cup

Steps that you will need to take:

1.   Grab a bowl; fill it with 2 cups of warm water, 1 tablespoon liquid dishwashing detergent and 1 tablespoon white vinegar. Mix the three components completely.

2.   Now, soak a clean white cloth in the solution and apply it to the stained part the carpet. Start dabbing the stained area with the cloth. Continue to do so till the entire stain has been removed.

3.   Once done, pour cold water over the affected area.

4.   Grab another clean, white cloth and dab the carpet with it.The stain should have been cleaned.

5.   Turn the fan on, and let the carpet dry completely.
