The deodorant stains look white on dark shirts and if you have ruined your favorite dark shirt with excessive use of deodorant, the stains left behind will make it look worn out. In order to remove these white stains, we have come up with the following solution which surprisingly involves salt, which is a common household ingredient used for numerous purposes but who knew it removes deodorant stains.

In case you are doubtful about this method you should know that it is safe for both colored and white clothing. It will leave your clothes looking brand new.

Things that you will require:

·      Salt
·      Vinegar
·      Water
·      Spray bottle
·      Empty bowl

Steps that you will need to take:

1.   Start by mixing 2 tbsp. of salt in a cup of water. Stir, till you see all the salt crystals dissolved. Now add 2 tbsp. of vinegar to it.

2.   Fill the spray bottle with the solution prepared and lay the stained dark shirt on a flat surface.

3.   Spray the deodorant stains with the solution till they are completely soaked. Leave the stains soaked for about 4-5 hours. For best results, keep them soaked overnight. Make sure you keep the shirt sprayed with the solution so that it doesn’t dry.

4.   Now before putting the shirt in laundry sprinkle salt on the stained area and rub the stains with it.

5.   After laundry air dry the shirt instead of machine dry. By this point, the deodorant stain removal will be successful.
