How to remove Chocolate Stains from Furniture




Winter season is popular for its warm beverages like hot chocolate etc. Children as well as adults enjoy the hot chocolate because of its amazing smell and wonderful taste. But most people forget to use coasters when drinking and it might result in a spillage.

The dried up chocolate leaves dark stains on furniture which is incredibly nasty to look at and after a while the stain starts to smell as well. This is why it is best to clean up the messy stains immediately, but in case the chocolate has dried up on the furniture, it is best to know how to remove these stains. Things that you will require:

·       Cold water
·       Butter knife
·       Cleaning towel
·       Sponge
·       Empty bowl
·       Liquid dishwasher

Steps that you will need to take:


1.   Start by mixing two cups of cold water with a tbsp. of the liquid dishwasher. Stir till both are completely mixed.

2.   Scrape the dried up chocolate off the surface of the furniture with the help of the butter knife, making sure that you don’t damage the surface.

3.   Now dip the sponge in the solution prepared in step 1 and apply to the stains. Wipe the solution with the dry cleaning towel.

4.   Repeat step 3 till the chocolate is completely removed from the furniture.

5.   Now wet the cleaning towel with regular water and wipe the surface of the furniture to remove the leftover soapy solution. This will result in successful chocolate stain removal.
