How to remove pet poop stains

Now even though you can potty-train your pets, yet you cannot rigidly control their egestion process. If your pet is having some digestion troubles, or if it just feels like doing so, it can decorate your floors or carpets with stench-filled feces.

Things that you will require:
· Pre-wash laundry stain remover
· A bucket of cold soapy water
· Clean white Cloth
· Paper towels
· Vinegar
· Water
· Baking soda
· Vacuum

Steps that you need to take:

1.   After scooping away the excessive poop, take a pre-wash laundry stain remover and spray the stain with it.

2.   Next, take a bucket of soapy cold water. Using this soapy water scrub the stain with a cloth. Work carefully onto the stain from its outside towards its center so that the stain doesn’t spread any further.

3.   Keep on spraying the poop stain with stain remover and scrubbing it with soapy water until the stain disappears.

4.   Rinse the stained area with clean water.

5.   Place some paper towels over it to absorb all the moisture. You can continue replacing the saturated towels with new ones, until no moisture remains.

6.   To get rid of any annoying accompanying odors, make a solution of equal parts of water and white vinegar. The quantity of this solution should be in relation to the proportion of the stained area.

7.   Pour this solution onto the poop stain.

8.   Then repeat the paper towels process as elaborated above, to absorb any excessive moisture.

9.   Next, take some baking soda and sprinkle it on the stained area.

10.   Allow this baking soda to sit on the stain overnight.

11.   Next morning, vacuum up this baking soda and you will end up with a clean, sweet smelling, and stain-free carpet.


Warning:

Make sure that you scrub the carpet gently and in a circular motion, so that neither the stain spreads, nor do the carpet fibers get frayed.

Method Two (Removal of pet poop stains from hardwood floors)

Getting poop stains out of your hardwood floors can be tricky. Also it needs a lot of care; otherwise it is quite plausible that the moisture from the stain would get seeped in your wooden fibers, damaging your expensive and cherished floor. The following home remedy takes care of this situation and helps in the removal of poop stains and all its remnants.


Things that you will require:

· Baking Soda
· White vinegar
· Hydrogen per oxide
· Vacuum
· Cleaning cloth
· Plastic wrap
· Paper towels
· Paint brush
· Sand paper
· Wood floor polish/ stain touch up

Steps that you need to take:

1.   Once you have scooped away the excessive poop bulk, take hold of some paper towels and place them on the poop stain. These paper towels will absorb any poop moisture that might still be lingering on the stain. You can replace these paper towels with fresh ones if required.

2.   Next, apply a liberal layer of baking soda onto the pet poop stain. Allow this baking soda to sit on the stain for almost 24 hours so that it can effectively absorb any remaining moisture or the accompanying unpleasant odor.

3.   Afterwards, you can vacuum away this baking soda.

4.   Vinegar happens to be an excellent disinfectant and an immensely effective natural cleaner. Therefore after the application of baking soda, it is time you resort to the stain lifting powers of white vinegar. Dab the vinegar onto a clean cloth and use it to scrub the wooden floor.

5.   If the stain is still persistent, then you can also take the help of undiluted hydrogen peroxide. Pour this per oxide onto the stain. It should be ample enough to saturate the stained area of the floor.

6.   Now take a clean cloth and soak it in per oxide. Place this damp cloth on the stain and cover it with a plastic wrap, so that you end up with hydrogen per oxide poultice. Allow this poultice to sit on the stain overnight.

7.      Next, morning remove the poultice and finally wipe the wooden floor with a cloth soaked in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water.

8.      You can then pat the floor dry with a clean towel.

 Tip.

· If your hardwood floor has been discolored, then you can sand it in the direction of the wood grain so that it can be restored to its original state.

· Furthermore, you can also consider giving it a re-touch with a wood polish or wood stain touch up.
