Method 1 (Home Based Treatment)

Things you will be required:

·      Dull knife.

·      Dry cleaning solvent.

·      Clean white piece of cloth.

·      Liquid hand dish washing detergent.

·      White vinegar.

·      Warm water.

·      Cold water.

·      Sponge.

Steps:

1.   The first step will be to fetch a good dull knife from your kitchen. A sharp knife can lead scratches on your carpet. With the help of the dull remove any excess lipstick on carpet.

2.   Once excess lipstick is removed, you may sponge the stain with the help of dry cleaning solvent and a clean white piece of cloth. Keep blotting until the solution is fully absorbed. This should be done in around fifteen to twenty minutes time. Start blotting until the stain is absorbed.

3.   Steps two should be performed several times until the cloth holds or absorb no further stain and until the stain is completely removed.

4.   However, if still some stain remains what is required is that you mix one table spoon of liquid dish washing detergent and one table spoon of white vinegar with almost two cups of warm water. Do not use cold water as it can create lumps which can make the solution ineffective.

5.   Start sponging the stain with the solution you made that is dish washing and vinegar solution. You can use a clean soft cloth or towel for blotting purpose.

6.   Keep blotting until the liquid is totally absorbed.

Method 2 (Using Commercial Product)

Things you will be required:

·      Old piece of cloth.

·      Goo gone.

·      Dry cleaning fluid.

·      One fourth of dish soap.

·      Warm water.

·      Rag.

Steps:

1.   Apply some Goo Gone on an old piece of cloth. Goo Gone is a commercial product that can be purchased from any shop. Then apply some Goo Gone directly on the stain as well and press it with the piece of cloth on which Goo Gone is first applied. Press it really hard with all your force.

2.   You will see that the lipstick stains starts sticking on the cloth and away from carpet. Keep repeating the process until the entire stain has been removed.

3.   If you could not get hold of Goo Gone, you can also use dry cleaning fluid in replacement of that.

4.   Mix one fourth of dish soap into one cup of warm water. Mix the solution with hands whilst wearing gloves. Add few drops of fabric cleaner as well and then mix it again.

5.   Blot the solution you made in step number four with the help of a rag. Keep doing it until the stain is no more there.

Method 3 (Handing over to a Carpet Cleaner)

·      Money.

·      Time.

1.   Sometimes, cleaning can become such a hassle when you are a busy person.

2.   For that purpose, you can contact carpet cleaners to clean your stain away.

3.   They will visit your house and clean it.

4.   You just have to hand them money and examine if the stain has been effectively removed.

5.   After the stain has been cleaned you can vacuum your carpet to make it even look clean and tidy.
