How to Remove Yellow Urine Stains from Carpet

Things that you will require:

·      ½ cup white vinegar
·      ½ cup water
·      Scrubbing brush
·      Paper towels
·      Baking soda
·      ½ cup 3% hydrogen peroxide
·      1 teaspoon of liquid dishwashing detergent

Steps that you will need to take:


1.   The first step towards the removal of the yellow urine stain from your carpet involves making the cleaning solution. To do so, fill a bowl with ½ cup white vinegar and ½ cup water. Mix the two ingredients.

2.   Pour the solution on the stained area.

3.   Grab an old scrubbing brush, and work the solution into the carpet.

4.   Next, use paper towels to absorb the excess moisture from the stained area. Keep blotting till it is dry.

5.   Once the carpet dries, sprinkle a layer of baking soda over the affected area.

6.   Now, you will be required to make another cleaning solution. To do so, pour ½ cup 3% hydrogen peroxide in a bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of liquid dishwashing detergent to this bowl, and mix both the ingredients well.

7.   Once done, pour this solution on the stained area as well.

8.   As done above, work the solution on the stain with an old scrubbing brush.

9.   Your Yellow Urine Stains should have disappeared by now. Turn the fan on, and leave the windows and doors open. Let the stain dry completely.

How to Remove Hard Water Stains from Shower Glass



In an ideal world, you would like your washroom spotless without it requiring too much effort in cleaning. Method One (Using Vinegar)

Things that you will require:

·      Vinegar
·      Bowl
·      Water

1.   To make your cleaning solution for the removal of hard water stains from shower glass, add 1 part white vinegar to a bowl, and pour 1 part water to in it. Mix both the ingredients thoroughly.

·      Container
·      Soft, clean cloth
·      Water

Steps that you will need to take:

1.   Rubbing alcohol can be used for various things, including removing hard water stains from shower doors amongst many others. To do so, first, pour some rubbing alcohol in a container.

2.   Dip a soft, clean cloth in the rubbing alcohol, and apply it to the Hard Water Stains on the glass.

3.   Now, leave the alcohol in place for a few minutes so that it is able to treat the stain.

4.   Next, soak another clean cloth in plain water, and wipe the stained area with it. The stains would have come off. If they are still visible, repeat the above steps.

5.   Make sure that you dry the shower glass completely. If left wet, more hard water stains may develop. Turn the fan on, and leave the bathroom door open. Wipe the shower glass with dry paper towels if necessary.

Tip:

1.   Rubbing alcohol works better on fresh stains as opposed to stains that have been left in place for too long.

2.   Once you have removed the hard water stains from the shower glass, you can apply a bit of car wax on the glass to prevent further hard water from settling on the surface. However, do not apply this on the shower floor. You can slip, and injure your back as a result of it!

How to Remove Mold from Shower Grout



Mold growing in shower grouts is one of the most frequently reported problems by mothers and wives these days. It is not because your shower has not been cleaned in a long time. Also, always do a spot test of the solution on an inconspicuous area of the shower grout before using it on the entire mold. Some cleaning solutions can discolor some objects.


Method One (Using Bleach)

Things that you will require:

·      Bleach
·      Container such as a disposable pan
·      Paper towels
·      Q-tips
·      Water

Steps that you will need to take:


1.   To start with cleaning the mold from the shower grout process, pour some bleach in a container, preferably a disposable pan.

2.   Now, grab some paper towels, dip them in the bleach present in the container, and place them such that they are in contact against the moldy area. Pouring bleach directly on to the mold can result in a mess, and may also drip to areas that do not have mold on them.

3.   Leave the towels in place for the night. You may also use q-tips to press the paper towels against the mold present in the corners.

4.   The next morning, remove the paper towels. The mold should have disappeared or loosened from the shower grout. Use a toothbrush to scrub off the mold that remains but has loosened.

5.   Repeat the above process if mold is still visible.

6.   Rinse the Shower Grout well with plain water.

7.   Let the Shower Grout dry completely. Leave the bathroom door open, and turn on the exhaust fan. You may also use paper towels to wipe the shower grout dry.


Method Two (Using Hydrogen Peroxide)

Things that you will require:

·      Container (bowl)
·      Water
·      Hydrogen peroxide
·      Clean rags or paper towels

Steps that you will need to take:

1.   The first step towards the removal of mold from the shower grout involves making the cleaning solution for it. To do so, fill a container with 1 part plain water, and 1 part hydrogen peroxide. Mix both the ingredients.

2.   Apply the cleaning solution on the moldy area with a soft, clean cloth or paper towel.

3.   Scrub the grout with the cloth or towel in a circular motion so that the mold is removed.  Move from one small area to another. You may also use a toothbrush.

4.   When the entire mold has been removed, rinse the shower grout with plain water.

5.   Make sure that the shower grout dries completely. Open the window and door. You may also set up a fan or a dehumidifier to get rid of the extra moisture.
